The midterm elections in the United States were historic in gaining diversity in various states of the country and with a level of voters almost on par with the presidential elections. Voters surprised by choosing the heterogeneity of their candidates like Jared Polis, who became the country's first openly gay governor representing Colorado; Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar are the first Muslims to reach Congress, and Sharice Davids is the first openly lesbian Native American to represent the state of Kansas in Congress.

Probably the most surprising thing about these elections that took place last Tuesday, was that Nevada voters chose a dead candidate as their representative.

At 68 percent, the late Republican Dennis Hof garnered more votes than his Democratic opponent Lesia Romanov.

According to reports, Hof, who owned the famous “Bunny Ranch” brothel, among others, passed away last month after a night of partying alongside pornographic actor Ron Jeremy and controversial former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Due to Nevada law, the candidate's name was included on the ballots. However, the voting centers had signs announcing that the candidate had died. Voters apparently did not read the signs and chose Hof as their favorite on the ballots.

According to Jeremy's statements to the press, the last time he saw the 72-year-old political aspirant alive, he was on his way to a passionate night with one of his brothel's prostitutes, Dasha Dare, before being found dead in the same suite where former basketball player Lamar Odom - ex-husband of Khloé Kardashian - overdosed.
