Chiquis Rivera no longer hides it and admits that he resumed his commitment to singer Lorenzo Méndez. After showing off a majestic ring on her left hand that sparked rumors of a possible wedding on the doorstep, the interpreter confessed that she is already prepared to reach the altar.

"It is the same ring but I put it on again, it is very true," he told PEOPLE EN ESPAÑOL about the jewel Méndez had given him earlier in the year. "We're already talking [about the wedding], we have a few dates [in mind]."

Since their surgery due to an endometriosis complication, the couple has been more in love and united than ever, with Méndez reporting on the singer's health. But after being away from the public eye for several weeks, Rivera returns to the stage this Wednesday to be part of Jenni Vive, the musical tribute in honor of her mother, Jenni Rivera, which will take place in Mexico.

"I'm so excited. The plan was to have a Jenni Live every year, for reasons that we do not control, it has not been [given], but I am very proud that it is in Mexico, because thanks to Mexico my mom is a queen. There are many people who love her and I feel that my mom is who she is for [the people of] Mexico. I imagine that the people of Mexico will be super grateful, "he said. “I am a little nervous but anxious at the same time because I already missed introducing myself, but I think I will be sheltered with my family. Jenni Vive is going to be my first presentation after my surgery, I am happy, excited”.

The singer is honored that the band's diva continues to be remembered by her fans and the music industry. This weekend, Spitify paid tribute to him with an altar at the legendary Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

“I loved this great idea, it was something so beautiful. I feel that for me it is an honor that they remember my mother, a platform as important as Spotify and that my mother is the first [with whom] to celebrate the day of the dead and to make this bridge [of a tradition] that celebrates so much in our culture”, he commented.

Next December 9 will be Jenni's sixth mourning anniversary and her oldest daughter plans to celebrate it with her brothers in a private way as they have been doing.

"I don't want to be sad that day, on the contrary, [I want to] smile and remember her in a positive way," he said. "Obviously it will hurt, but [we will be] with the family, with my brothers. We still have to talk about it well, but I think [we will] do something more private.”

As for his health, he ensures that he is already stable although he will have to see the doctor every two months to make sure that his condition is controlled. She also said that she will meet with a nutritionist to create a food plan that benefits her disease, and that she wants to help other women by reporting endometriosis.

“I want to talk a little bit more about that. I feel that not enough is said about it and it is something that many women suffer, it is something serious, something that cannot be cured, that nothing else can be improved,”she explained. “The doctor told me that it is not normal that we live in pain and there are things that affect us. I want to raise awareness [about] endometriosis.”
