Be very careful with what you say in the corridors of your office because it could put you on your feet! At least that's what happened to a PBS employee who says he was fired because he criticized Meghan Markle's appearance.

Hugh Heckman, who was serving as a script writer for the PBS NewsHour show, filed a lawsuit arguing an unfair dismissal stemming from comments he made at the company's offices in New York in November 2017.

According to documents obtained by the TMZ site, the subject alleges that on the 25th of that month a colleague who was sitting 20 feet from him complained to the boss after hearing Heckman say "not bad." The man says he was analyzing a photo of the Duchess of Sussex that would be used for a story.

The complainant claims that a second colleague went to put her spoon in and said "what haven't you learned anything about?", Apparently in reference to the #MeToo movement against harassment in the workplace.

Two days later the writer was fired from the company. Now he says the comment that triggered the problem was voiced solely to state that Prince Harry's wife "was a suitable match for her fiancé."

In his defense, the man alleges unlawful termination due to gender discrimination.

The Me Too movement has swept Hollywood, Broadway, dance companies and even orchestras by uncovering abuses by powerful figures hidden many times over the years. Such is the case of mega-producer Harvey Weinstein, who has been accused by more than 40 women of harassment and even rape; actors Kevin Spacey and Dustin HUffman or comedian Louis CK

Another of those named is the host and producer Charlie Rose, whose talk show was broadcast on PBS and who had to leave the company on multiple female charges.
