The deep traces of the massive separation of migrant parents and children at the border have become visible and painfully palpable in a heartbreaking video that is shaking social media.

In this clip, the moment when a Honduran little boy was reunited with his family is shown, but instead of hugging his parents, he runs away from them without recognizing them in the face of the tears and despair of his mother.

The clip was published by the American Civil Liberties Union and there you can see the woman speaking in Spanish saying "I came for you", while trying to hug the boy who writhes in his arms and then sneaks away from her crawling.

"I'm your mommy, daddy! I'm your mommy!”She says. Crying and on her knees, the woman looks at her partner, who holds another baby in her arms and asks: “What does my son have? What happened?!"

The woman follows the boy who continues to crawl on the ground without speaking, fleeing from her. "Daddy, come with me!" He insists, but the boy continues to walk away, visibly confused by the situation.

The video was captured at George Bush International Airport in Houston on July 14 after the boy's family was detained and separated by the United States Customs and Immigration Service. However, it was not until this weekend that ACLU released the heartbreaking images.

The creature's parents left Honduras in April fleeing the violence and attempted to seek asylum by crossing the McAllen Bridge in Texas. But, according to the father, when they appeared before the immigration judge to fill out documents their child was asleep and asked if they should wake her up but they were told that it was not necessary. When they returned to see the boy, he had disappeared to be sent to a detention center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The images reopen the wound left by the separation of more than 2,500 minors who, between May and June, were separated from their relatives when crossing the border between Mexico and the United States.

This practice obeyed the "Zero Tolerance" policy and was rotated by Secretary of State Jeff Sessions under orders from President Donald Trump causing international outrage and protests from various figures. Finally, and under orders of a judge, the separation ended, but not the arrests.

The scandal was such that even the country's first lady, Melania Trump, visited a child detention center, indirectly causing a scandal by wearing a jacket with a controversial legend.

Federal judges issued an ultimatum to the government to expeditiously reunite the minors with their parents, yet hundreds of them still remain low on American soil without the whereabouts of their parents being known. This is because, according to different non-governmental organizations, more than 400 parents were deported to their countries of origin and their whereabouts are unknown.
