A former Venezuelan beauty miss who cheated on her countrywomen by promising to make them models and babysitters in luxury homes, was arrested this week in Austria on charges of running an international prostitution ring.
Mariana Pairs was Miss Venezuela International in 2016 and in her circles they called her the "Meretriz Guara". According to various sources, the 21-year-old woman was detained along with another woman and two men in Vienna, after one of her victims reported them to the Unit for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Clandestine Immigration of the Federal Office for Criminal Investigation of Germany.
The complaint sparked an investigation through which it was discovered that Pairs kept an apartment in the central European city where he kept women locked up forcing them to prostitute themselves.
