American football player JJ Watt's humanitarian efforts are limitless.
The Houston Texans star is willing to pay the funeral expenses of the 10 people killed in Friday's mass shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas.
At least 10 people died and 10 more were injured after the suspect, 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis, opened fire. Most of those killed were also students.
Watt, who has been known for his humanitarian efforts after Hurricane Harvey, offers to somehow ease the pain of the victims' families.
Shortly after the Friday morning shooting, Watt tweeted about the event: "Absolutely horrible."
Host Ellen DeGeneres tweeted how grateful she was for Watt's generosity: “Thank you, @JJWatt for going above and beyond for families in Santa Fe, Texas. I love you.
Watt is famous in the Houston community, especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey last August.
After Hurricane Harvey devastated the Houston area, Watt used social media to raise more than ever with a video posted on Watt's social media announcing a fundraising campaign aiming for excellence in the field.
"This award is about the inherent good found within humanity," Watt said after receiving the award the night before Super Bowl LII. “It's about the city of Houston and its ability to overcome adversity at a time when everything seemed lost. It's about the hundreds of thousands of people across the country and around the world who donated to a city they may never have. people they may never know. But they donated simply because they saw their fellow animals go through a difficult time and wanted to help.
“I cannot express how honored and honored they mentioned me in the same sentence as Walter Payton. A man who did everything well not only on the field, but also off it.”
