The death of the young Danny Díaz-Delgado, just 20 years old, has left the community of the state of New Jersey shocked, since a surprise he was preparing for his younger brother ended up costing him his life at the hands of a criminal.
As revealed by the online site of People magazine, Díaz-Delgado had contacted a man through Facebook to buy a PlayStation 4. The young man was never expected to be that man, identified as Rufus Thompson, from 29 years old, he was a criminal who had the intention of stealing it.
The victim's relatives reportedly revealed to the authorities that the last time they saw him was on March 23, when he was preparing to meet the alleged murderer with the intention of buying the video game for his brother.
The boy's lifeless body was found near a stream in the small Hamilton Township town. Information revealed by the authorities adds that he had several bullet wounds, his hands were tied and his face was completely covered with industrial tape.
“(Díaz-Delgado) had multiple bullet wounds to his torso, hand and leg. He was pronounced dead at the scene,” Angelo Onofri, Mercer County Prosecutor, said in a statement.
The alleged murderer was arrested at the home of a friend in the city of Trenton and is now facing charges of theft, murder, kidnapping and possession of weapons, all in connection with the death of Díaz-Delgado.
