Raleigh, North Carolina police arrested a young mother Wednesday after a video of her baby smoking marijuana began to circulate on Facebook.
Brianna Ashanti Lofton, 20, is now facing two counts of felony child abuse, contributing to crime and possession of marijuana, according to a statement released by police spokesmen from that town.
According to said document, Raleigh residents began to share the clip on networks and send comments to the police to report it. "We appreciate the public's help in this matter," said Raleigh Police Lt. Jason Hodge. "We appreciate and invite the public to provide their assistance at all times."
In one of two videos that began to circulate in networks, you see how a baby receives a brown cigarette from the hands of a woman - whose face does not appear in the video - from which he inhales inhales and exhales.

Police turned to Twitter to thank the public for supporting the video. "Thank you very much to all those who sent information about the mother smoking with her baby," said the official agency's Twitter account. "Thank you for your willingness to get involved, the child is safe and the mother is in police custody."
According to The News & Observer, Lofton had a criminal record and had been arrested three times in 2017. One of the clips that allegedly incriminate her was recorded on December 1 of that same year.
The woman was transferred to the Wake County Correctional Center where she was posted a $ 100,000 bond. The boy was placed in the custody of the Office of Child Protective Services in the same town.
