Charges Dropped Against Naya Rivera

The domestic violence charges against Naya Rivera were dropped. The case was closed after the actress's husband, fellow actor Ryan Dorsey, decided to drop the charges.

Rivera was detained last November, after having an altercation with her husband at home.

According to local authorities, the professionals responded to a call that reported a violent event that was taking place at that time. Dorsey was charged with expressing to law enforcement officials that he had been the victim of a severe blow to Rivera's head and face. Her minor injuries proved the facts and also a video that the victim had taken during the attack.

Following the scandal, Dorsey wrote a message on her social media. "This is a difficult time for everyone in the family, especially for Naya and me," he wrote. “This is not a reality show, this is our life and I ask everyone, especially 'the media', to respect our privacy and to treat us / this situation as they would like a loved one to be treated. Perhaps with kindness, respect, without judgment and even when it is a negative situation, with positivism and love. Thank you".
