The legal problems with rapper Nelly do not stop. The year he was detained on charges of drug possession and this year, in October, on charges of raping a woman who, although a few days later gave up pursuing that case, has now resumed the lawsuit.
Reforma reported that, according to court documents, a woman named Monique Green claims that she worked at a Seattle club where the musician appeared last October 6 and that, after finishing his presentation, he invited her to go to a party.
After having a few drinks, Greene got into Nelly's truck and later they went to the rapper's tour bus, but when they got to the singer's bedroom, he began to masturbate in front of her and then raped her orally and vaginally, Although she was yelling at him to stop or use a condom, pleas he ignored.
The alleged victim says she started screaming to let her go, so the singer's team pulled her out and he gave her a check for $ 100 and said goodbye to her.
Outside, the woman ordered an Uber and called the emergency number. When the Police came to her aid, they transferred her to a nearby hospital and arrested Nelly. However, at the time, she did not want to continue with her lawsuit, and according to various media reports, she would have regretted calling 911.
This week, however, Greene not only wanted to continue his accusation in court, but also that of defamation because, he says, after what happened he and his team have launched a campaign against him, pointing out that she only seeks money, fame and notoriety.
In the legal document, he clarifies that he did not declare in his first lawsuit against Nelly because he felt that he could not go against a celebrity and that the legal system would fail him.
Nelly's attorney, Scott Rosenblum, has said his client is seeking to counter-sue to restore his reputation.
