23-year-old Porn Actress Dies

The actress of porn movies Mercedes Grabovski, better known as August Ames, died last Tuesday due to an apparent suicide and after a fierce controversy on the networks, in which she was accused of homophobia.

Grabovski, star of porn films like Beauty and the Beast XXX: An Erotic Fairy Tale Parody, was found dead at her residence in Camarillo, CA. The authorities did not find any sign of violence or criminal act.

According to The Blast portal, the Ventura County coroner concluded that the cause of death was suffocation by hanging. Friends of the deceased told the Daily News newspaper that they suspect it was a suicide and that Grabovski suffered from depression.

In the days before her death, the actress had been involved in a controversy after she expressed her refusal to shoot sex scenes with an actor who had made gay porn movies. Her comment was branded homophobic by other network users.

In response, the 23-year-old said that her words had nothing to do with the actor's sexual orientation.

"I am not homophobic. Many girls do not record with men who have filmed gay pornography for safety, "she said, referring to the fear of contracting the HIV virus. “This is how it is with me. I am not going to put my body at risk, I do not know what they have done in their private life”.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, Grabovski worked in a bar and in a tanning salon before starting her career in porn cinema and had been nominated for an award in the biggest awards in this industry.

"She was the kindest woman I have ever met and she was my world," her husband, porn film director Kevin Moore, told Adult Video News.
