An 18-year-old boy turned himself in to Southern California police and confessed that he had abused more than 50 children for several years.
State authorities revealed that on Saturday morning Joseph Hayden Boston's own mother took him to the police station after he confessed to him that he had sexually assaulted two boys, ages 8 and 4, in a motel.
As reported by CBS News, although the young man resides in Lakewood and Buena Park, since the beginning of November he had been staying at a Simply Home Inn & Suite hotel. The two children were also staying with their parents in that motel and it is not clear why, but apparently their parents would have allowed them to enter the room where the young man abused them.
When questioned by Riverside police officers, the young man not only ratified the confession he had made to his mother, but also revealed something worse: he would have abused "more than 50 children" since he was 10 years old, a spokesman said. from the police. Those crimes, he said, he has carried out not only in that city, but also in others in which he has lived in recent years.
Boston was arrested on suspicion of two counts of sexual abuse of a boy under the age of 10 and imprisoned with the right to leave on a $ 1 million bond.
So far it is unclear if he already has a defense attorney, but his first hearing before the judge will be next Wednesday.
