Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán is depressed in prison.

Lawyers for the Mexican narco established that El Chapo is having a difficult time. Presumably Guzmán's memory is failing him. For that reason, his legal representation is asking the judge to allow a doctor to examine him, TMZ reported.

The lawyers have asked the judge for Guzmán to undergo a neuropsychological evaluation in the prison where he is confined; Metropolitan Correctional Facility. This, because TMZ exposes that in the past month alone, the drug trafficker cannot remember certain people, places and events that have already occurred.

The exposure by the lawyers in a legal document obtained by the TMZ news portal indicates that Guzmán's lawyers claim that he is suffering from headaches, a high-pitched, ringing noise in his ears and a sore throat. The claim of his battery of lawyers is that none of the symptoms have been reviewed by a medical specialist; by doctors.

Likewise, the portal says that El Chapo has been denied the possibility of buying basic things such as a bottle of water, batteries for his radio and there is even talk of personal hygiene items. TMZ says that the lawyers consider that the conditions under which Guzmán finds himself are the product of the total isolation in which he lives, lack of clean sheets in the prison and not taking fresh air, among other things. Likewise, TMZ reports that her lawyers revoked her sister's visa, who needs it to be able to visit her in the prison where she is in the United States. And his lawyers requested that they join him to the general prison population, but this did not happen.
