Hollywood Sexual Assault Reports Grow

Since the scandal of the producer Harvey Weistein, who has been accused by some sixty women of sexual assault and even rape, a pandora's box that does not stop has been uncovered. This week alone, allegations have been leveled against Kevin Spacey, Dustin Hoffman, producer James Toback, and Brett Ratner, and the list of allegations appears to be on the brink.

In a Los Angeles Times report, Ratner, who directed the movie Rush Hour, is being indicted by six women. One of them, actress Natasha Henstridge stated that the filmmaker "forced" her to perform oral sex on her when she was 19 years old. While Olivia Munn accused him of having masturbated in front of her.

In this parade of accusations also arose one against the two-time Oscar winner, Dustin Hoffman, whom the writer Anna Graham Hunter, then a fellow during the filming of "The Death of a Salesman", assures that he touched her when she was 17 years.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Hunter says that in 1985 the actor asked him for a breakfast based on "hard boiled eggs" and "boiled clitoris", making a play on words in English. This was after asking the young woman the day before to do a foot massage, grab her butt four times and make undesirable jokes.

Yesterday, the Berverly Hills police also issued a statement indicating that they have received multiple accusations against the director of The Pick Up Artist, James Toback, and that therefore an investigation has been opened against him.

These scandals add to the multiple complaints that have been raised against another Oscar winner, Kevin Spacey, whom on Sunday the actor Anthony Rapp evidenced for having sexually assaulted him when he was 14 years old. Since then, the chain of complaints against him has not stopped: According to the BBC, these range from a hotel worker in London to filmmaker Tony Montana and Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos have revealed surprising stories of how the House of Cards star, the fingering.

Each of those involved has reacted differently: Weinstein, Toback and Ratner have denied the allegations, while Hoffman apologized stating that it did not reflect who he really was. Spacey did something similar with the first accusation, but as more men have come forward to report him, he has remained silent.
