Anthony Taino Naib, 20, Monica Caridad Hoffa, 32, and Benjamin Mitchell, 22, were killed in the past days in the city of Tampa, Florida. Now the city lives under the terror that the three victims have a murderer in common and that there are more people on their list.

All three killings occurred in the past 11 days, and although none of the victims were related to each other, they all died by firearm within a one-mile radius of the Seminole Heights neighborhood.

The first death occurred on October 9 at 9:00 pm local time when Benjamin Mitchell boarded a bus near his home. The 22-year-old who was traveling alone was shot. "He was a good person with a good family," police sources said at a press conference on Monday.

Two days later, Monica Caridad Hoffa was gunned down 10 blocks from where they found Mitchell. "Her life was taken from her without reason," said an obituary of the woman who was found in a plot belonging to the council.

The latest victim was Anthony Taíno Naiboa, who died just 100 yards from where Mitchell died. The 20-year-old suffered from autism and was about to board a bus to go home. "They killed him for nothing," said his father, Anthony Naiboa at his funeral service, People reports. "As if I were not human, as if I were nothing."

Now authorities are on the trail of a man who was caught by security cameras in the area where the events occurred.

The killings have caused psychosis in the population that is now escorting their children to school and school buses. Some neighbors refuse to go out at night.

"We want people to come out; This is not a bad neighborhood, "said Tampa Police Chief Temporary Brian Dugan to 970-WFLA Radio. "We want people to come out and tell us what's going on."

As a preventive measure, the Hillsborough Regional Transportation Authority has changed Route 9 for buses traveling to Seminole Heights, as reported by the Tampa Bay Times. This route runs along 15th Street, the street where Naiboa was killed. The route change will continue indefinitely, spokeswoman Sandra Morrison confirmed on Monday. "Simply to ensure the well-being of our employees and customers we take precautionary measures," he said.

Likewise, the Tampa police will monitor students from Middleton High School, located in the area, especially in the early hours, when they go to school. "We don't want anyone walking the bus alone at 6:10 am without someone [closely] monitoring]," said Steve Hagerty, a spokesman for the agency.
