What seemed like an insignificant and minor matter ended in tragedy for a minor in Puerto Rico. A 17-year-old boy was shot and wounded after confronting a person who was supposed to be looking at him in a way he did not like, according to the Puerto Rican newspaper El Metro.
The incident in the Valle Verde neighborhood of the town of San Sebastián occurred last Monday, according to a police report, when the victim claimed an unknown subject for the way he was looking at him.
As a consequence, an argument broke out that ended when the man took out a firearm and shot the minor, causing him a wound in the left thigh. The victim's family rushed to his aid and transferred him to a medical center, from which he was subsequently transferred to a hospital in San Juan.
The authorities' investigation is ongoing, but at the moment it is unknown what happened to the author of the shooting. No information has been provided about whether he was arrested or managed to flee the scene.
The young victim, meanwhile, continues to be admitted to the hospital recovering from the gunshot wound. A more complete report of what happened is expected in the coming days.
