Marilou Danley, girlfriend of Stephen Paddock, author of the massacre that occurred in Las Vegas, arrived in Los Angeles guarded by the FBI on Tuesday night, October 3.

Danley, 62, was in the Philippines when the tragedy occurred that left more than 55 people dead and over 400 injured. Stephen Paddock, 64, was the person who opened fire from his hotel room at Mandalay Bay Casino against the crowd that was witnessing a country music concert. He later took his life, press reports indicate.

Danley was listed as a person of interest in the case that authorities are trying to clarify, the AP note detailed. An AP source explained that questioning the woman will be key to understanding why a man who had no violent history committed an act of such magnitude. Joseph Lombardo, the Las Vegas police chief, said they expected to get information from Danley, the killer's girlfriend. Lombardo said he was convinced they would find the specific reason why Paddock committed the crime.

The AP note states that his source, who he describes as a US official informed by the security forces, indicated that Paddock transferred $ 100,000 to an account in the Philippines, where his girlfriend was on vacation, days before the shooting.
