A young Peruvian footballer is making headlines, not because of the football moves he makes, but because he is named after the person who was once called the "number one enemy of the United States," that is, Osaba Bin Laden.

Although in Spanish his name is pronounced the same as that of the founder of Al-Qaeda, by registering him in the birth registry, his parents made a slight difference: they wrote his name with dental and united. Ah! They also added their last names, completely Latin. Thus, the young man is called Osama Vinladen Jiménez López.

His name caused surprise at the international level, after it was announced on Thursday that he would be part of his country's sub-15 team for the South American Championship of that division to be held in Argentina.

The young man says that he does not know the reasons why his parents decided to name him as well as the person responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York. "My father always avoided talking about it," he reveals, while he is sure that once he reaches the age of majority he will change it, because he is tired of the jokes and ridicule it generates. He also remembers how in his childhood other children laughed at him: “They made fun of me, but I took it easy. At first it made me uncomfortable, but you learn to live with it. Now I feel normal."

But Vinladen's name is not the only one to leave everyone speechless. In Colombia there is also a player named Efmamjjasond Gonzales, who is part of a sub 18 team, in this case Atlético Nacional.
