The video game for cell phones Honor of Kings, which is also known in the technology market as King of Glory, has caused a sensation among fans of this type of fun. At the same time, it has received strong criticism from the Chinese government.

BBC Mundo reports that in May 2017 the video game became the most profitable in the world. Why?

Honor of Kings, which was created by the technology company Tencent, had its launch in November 2015 and, according to the news portal, in less than two years it has accumulated more than 80 million active daily users. It has also achieved hundreds of millions of downloads.

Given these figures, the statement from the Chinese official newspaper El Diario del Pueblo has surprised that the video game is dangerous and that it describes it as "poison" for those who play it. At the same time, the newspaper ensures that it unleashes "negative energies".

Given the criticism received, Tencent chose to make a series of regulations to control the use of the game among young people and avoid possible censorship. Among the measures is the limitation to children under 12 years of age of only one hour of access to the video game daily, and before 9 pm. Meanwhile, those from 13 to 18 years old can play it only two hours a day, according to BBC Mundo.

It should be noted that the fury caused by Honor of Kings is also due to the fact that it is a free application.
