Not everything has been a tragedy in the wake of Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey that has been hitting Houston mercilessly for the past few days. The weather phenomenon has also managed to bring out the best face of many of the residents of the area. Such is the case of some workers who, being trapped in their workplace, gave free rein to their noble heart.

As reported by Chron.com, the El Bolillo bakers in the Wayside Drive area of that city, could not leave that bakery for several days. So what did they do to pass the time? They began to bake tray after tray of sweet bread to deliver to those in need.

"They decided not to waste time and they made all the sweet bread as they could," store manager Brian Alvarado told the newspaper. Just to give an idea of everything they worked on: The bakers used more than 4,200 pounds of flour in the days they were locked up in that place. Early Monday, when they were able to leave, there were hundreds of buns ready to reach the victims.

El Bolillo bakeries had worked all day since Friday to bake bread for those affected by the floods and share videos and photos of their efforts. Facebook followers and bakery customers posted and shared the photos and videos, causing their messages to go viral.

Even when they ran out of bread on Sunday morning and had to close the store, the bakery announced that its bakers were working all night to ensure that a new batch of bread was ready for people in need.
