Children Fight For Juan Gabriel's Money

The battle to challenge Juan Gabriel's will formally began Thursday in Mexico City. One of the singer's biological children, Joao Aguilera, arrived in the country with his team of lawyers to initiate the respective legal procedures and warned that he is assisted by the law.

"I have the right to do it. It is a legal right and there are many questions that have to be clarified, it is so simple, "Aguilera told the media. "It is a right that we all have, children."

The descendant of the Divo de Juárez was evasive to answer about what he intends to obtain with the challenge. He also did not want to talk about what his father would think about this situation because he assures that "they are speculation". The only thing that is clear is that it will be a long and bloody battle.

“It is a hard process, it is not easy; but I will continue”, he added.

Despite the above, Joao assured that "I am open to all possibilities"; therefore, he does not rule out entering into a dialogue with his half brother and universal heir Iván Aguilera and even reaching an agreement outside the courts.

Regarding the statements of Luis Alberto Aguilera, who stated that he was involved in this legal process without his authorization, Marco Tulio Ruíz, Joao's lawyer clarified this situation.

Luis Alberto has his own lawyers; it is not part of the trials that Joao has filed,”Tulio Ruíz reported to the media. “He is separate, he is involved in a succession procedure in Ciudad Juárez, not in the nullity procedure of the will.
