The three jihadists who were shot after the August 17 attack in Barcelona were caught on video shopping at a local grocery store on the day of the massacre. The security recording of the establishment was broadcast to the Catalan newspaper Ara.

The three terrorists, along with two accomplices, visited the gas station several times before the alternate attacks in Spain that claimed 13 lives and left more than 120 wounded.

The video identifies Omar Hychami, the brother of Younes Abouyaaqoub, murderer of slaughter in Barcelona, Houssaine and Moussa Oukabir.

Hychami stopped in the store around 4 p.m. on the day of the attack, before Van Abouyaaqoub's deadly attack on Barcelona's La Rambla, one of the most popular walks in the area. Hychami had been involved in a crash on the A-7 motorway prior to that visit, an accident that may have forced the terrorists to change their plans.

After the Barcelona attack, Houssaine was seen on the store's security cameras while buying credit for his cell phone, the Telegraph reported.

On a third visit, he and his other two minions appeared to be relaxed as they shopped for lighters before heading to Cambrils, where they bought knives and an ax for the attack they were planning.

Hychami visited the store once more three hours before the 1 am assault on Cambrils to buy two loaves, tortillas.

Ara reported that authorities were investigating whether Cambrils attackers used the service station as a rally site after the Hychami accident and improvised their attack on the complex.

This is at least the eighth attack in Europe committed with a vehicle that runs over its victims in the last year, after those that occurred in Nice, Berlin and London, among others.
