Pepe Aguilar's family remains united while waiting for a judge to determine next September the sentence that he will impose on the artist's eldest son, Emiliano, who last June pleaded guilty to a crime of human trafficking.

"[All family members] really being united and with him [Emiliano]," Majo and Susana Aguilar, nieces of the singer, mentioned to the Mexican television program Ventaneando (TV Azteca). "We reinforce with that union that we need at the moment and knowing that we can all be wrong."

Emiliano pleaded guilty last June to the human trafficking charges brought against him after he attempted to cross the border from Tijuana and San Diego, CA, with four Chinese nationals hidden in the trunk of his car.

According to authorities, the young man had agreed to smuggle them in exchange for a payment that ranged from $ 3,000 to $ 60,000 per person.

The cousins expressed their support and affection to Emiliano, from whom they recognized that he had taken a “wrong” action, which did not mean that he was a “very beautiful person with a very big heart” who has learned the lesson.

Majo and Susana confessed that their cousin tries to remain calm before learning about the judge's decision, which can sentence him to up to 10 years for each of the individuals who tried to smuggle into the country.

Emiliano, who at the beginning of the process had pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, is currently free on bail of $ 15.00. His arrest was a severe blow to his family, and particularly to his parents.
