The Colombians do not fit of the emotion preparing the country to receive the visit of the Pope Francisco next September 9.
Like good creatives, four musicians from the Antioquia region have composed a motto in honor of the visit of the high pontiff to the city of Medellín.
The song is called "Welcome Francisco" and is performed by the melodious voices of two women and two men from a choir from a parish in the El Poblado neighborhood in Medellín.
The song already has a three-minute video clip that shows panoramic views of the Antioquia capital taken with drones, children playing in parks of the popular communes of the city of Paisa, street vendors selling fruits on the street and moving images of the Pope visiting other countries..
One of the members of the group, José Luis Elías, was the one who composed the theme that several communities in Medellín have adopted as the hymn of the papal tour to the South American country.
The production team of the religious channel Tele VID was commissioned to make the video once the chain acquired the rights to the song, which says:
Messenger of the peoples, friend of the good
Francisco today we are very happy
The sun shines again
Our streets will be pulled
Today we take a big step towards our dreams”.
Pope Francis is expected to arrive in Colombia on September 6 at 4:30 p.m. local time, to visit four cities: Bogotá, Villavicencio, Medellín and Cartagena.
The Rionegro airport in the Antioquia capital is expected to arrive three days later. During his stay in the city, in addition to listening to the song "Welcome Francisco", the Argentinean will visit the Fundación Hogares San José, a solidarity organization with a long tradition that carries out various social projects in favor of the less favored population.
