As half the country continued to marvel at Monday's solar eclipse, Freedom Eubanks and Michael Eubanks of South Carolina were welcoming their little daughter. Both events were so important to the couple that they decided to give their little girl the name of Eclipse.

"It still seems like it's not real," Eubanks told CNN. "Everything hit me at once."

Eclipse was born Monday in Greenville, South Carolina, weighed in at 6 pounds 3 ounces, and was 19 inches long. After her birth, her parents dressed her in a beautiful romper that the hospital gave them. "Wow, my daughter was born in the middle of something that happens every few years," said the baby's father. "It is extremely rare."

Millions of Americans followed the event live across the country, including President Donald Trump, who decided to catch a glimpse of the eclipse without goggles despite the announcement that for weeks everyone who wanted to witness the event they would have to take the appropriate precautions.

The solar eclipse was fully visible in some states of the United States, and partially from Central America, northern South America, and Europe.
