Almost a month ago, an 18-year-old Hispanic woman shook public opinion by broadcasting a crash in which her sister died. Now, the young woman has broken the silence to talk about what happened and reveal that it was not the first time that she broadcast on networks while driving.

On July 21, Obdulia Sánchez made headlines for spearheading the crash that occurred near Los Banos, California. The teenager was driving under the influence of alcohol when she hit a safety net and lost control of her car, killing her 14-year-old sister Jacqueline Sánchez.

Manuela Seja, 14, a friend of the victim, who in a few days was going to celebrate her quinceañera party, was also injured in the crash. The incident was captured by Sánchez, who was recording himself for Snapchat while driving.

"We were perfectly fine and when I came to realize we started to go to the left," said the teenager to KGPE in an interview from the prison where she has been detained since what happened. “I started to slow down the car. Then we turn around."

Her sister and friend were projected out of the vehicle. "That's when I panicked," she exclaimed. "I knew [my sister] was dead because I took her pulse and she had no pulse."

Despite what happened, Sánchez called 911 and continued transmitting on networks. "I didn't even know I looked like a monster," he explains now. "[In the video] I looked like a horrible, horrible monster (…) that was not my intention," he said.
