A journalist reporting from the World Cup in Russia was sexually assaulted live during a broadcast for the Spanish-language news by the German broadcaster DW.

The video of the incident was posted on DW social media with the message: “Julieth was kissed and grabbed by a man while reporting from Moscow. Sexual harassment is not okay. It has to stop. In soccer and everywhere”.

"I was on the scene for two hours to prepare for the broadcast and there were no interruptions," Gonzalez told German broadcaster Deutsche Welle.

The man who harassed González Therán has yet to be identified.
