This old woman is proof that age is just a number.

At 81 years old, with seven grandchildren and a unique passion for rock, this old woman from Singapore is conquering the world of music with her guitar.

Mary Ho has broken the stereotypes of society and has grabbed the attention on the internet with her peculiar style. It is not for less, because the grandmother has 21 years of practice. Her first guitar lessons were at 60.

"I bought an acoustic guitar and learned myself. Then I started learning [to play] the electric guitar at 65,”he confessed to the BBC.

Before setting a sensation on YouTube, Mary Ho had to learn to play without knowing how to read sheet music, much less guitar lessons.

“I practiced and practiced until my hands bled, and for several days I couldn't touch because my fingers were bandaged. Finally when they were healed I started playing again,”he said.

Learning to master the strings of this instrument has led her to fulfill dreams such as meeting her idol, Carlos Santana, and recording a Latin music album. Her most recent milestone has been playing at the Singapore National Day Parade.

“When I play the guitar I am simply with myself. I feel relaxed, beautiful and very happy, "she told the BBC. “I am learning what I want to touch. It's my passion".
