"Despacito", the song written by Luis Fonsi with Daddy Yankee and Erika Ender, does not stop generating new versions and dominating popular taste. Now its rhythms have also become a kind of hymn for homeless puppies.

According to the newspaper El Mundo, in Madrid a volunteer named Paula, who works in the association Los Acogido de Lidia, which among other things is dedicated to the rescue and adoption of dogs, was inspired by the contagious theme to write a song that It serves to create awareness of the pain that some dogs go through.

"I started to change Slowly for Your puppy", explains the woman, who little by little added verses like: "I want you to adopt me and be your puppy, I have been dreaming about you for a long time, imagining games, caresses and jumps".

Thus, he presented that letter to his boss, the director of that entity, and followed with the rest of the letter. “You are alone and I look for a home, I get closer every day just thinking about it makes my back stand on end. I'm already seeing myself lying on your sofa…”

The noble workers contacted the singer Mon Feijóo and the guitarist Manu Bayón, who gladly agreed to be part of the project. Later, finding the protagonists of this video was easier, since the shelter of their association was full of them: the dogs that are waiting for a home.

The first one they thought of was Machote, one of the dogs they had just rescued because they saw him abandoned for many days in a kennel in the neighborhood. Then came the other "models", Conchita, Tony / Patuco, Tango, Andra, Sole … And all the dogs that could think that they urgently needed to be adopted.

The result is a very successful video, which has more than a quarter of a million views in just one month. "People have cried a lot," says its creator, "when we did it with a humorous purpose. On the other hand, parents have to hate us, because children ask that they wear it about twenty times a day."

Unfortunately, the emotional and musical success that this idea has had, does not agree with the public's response because neither Machote nor his other colleagues have been adopted yet”.
