The horrible murder of a 3-year-old girl has shocked the community of the state of Utah, since the main suspects in the crime are the girl's parents, Miller Costello and Brenda Emile.

The couple would not only have beaten the infant to death, they would also have tried to cover the wounds on the girl's face, hands, legs, head and neck using makeup, according to a report shared on the online site of People magazine.

Costello, 25, and Emile, 22, reportedly tried to hide the wounds on their daughter's body before calling the 911 hotline. When authorities answered the call, the girl was found without vital signs.

The body of Angelina Costello, named the girl, presented multiple samples of abuse, some of them recent and others in the process of healing. Although the minor's father assured that the marks on the girl's body were caused by her brothers, this did reveal that the girl was in a delicate state of health and that her wife was not feeding her properly.

Investigation documents add that the two had decided not to seek medical help for the girl, since this would draw the attention of the authorities and they did not want to lose custody of their children.

Emile, for his part, admitted having used makeup on Angelina's body so that the wounds "did not look so bad." The couple was arrested last week and are facing murder charges. Her three children are now in the custody of the authorities.
