A young model was tortured and hacked to death with a machete for the mere fact of being fashionable, looking good and wearing tight-fitting clothing, a report states.
The tragic story, difficult to understand, occurred in Iraq, explains the New York Post. The body of the victim, Karar Nushi, was found mutilated in the streets of Baghdad, on Monday, July 3.
The corpse had chain marks on the hands and neck. In addition, Nushi was shot in the head, because the note claims that he had a bullet hole in the brain.
Who could have committed a murder of this nature? The deceased's friends believe that he was killed by Islamic extremists for his physical appearance, long blond hair, and tight clothing.
Nushi, who was a student at the Institute of Fine Arts in the city, received anonymous threats through social networks, detailed the note from the New York Pos t. Why? Apparently for looking super fashion and having a Fabio-style look; the character that adorns the covers of pocket novels.
In addition, the fact that the young man was preparing to compete in a men's beauty pageant is believed to have had something to do with his tragic death, press reports say.
The thing does not stop there, however. His friends also attribute the murder to Nushi having many acting friends.
According to Iraqui News, authorities believe that various Islamic groups have murdered young Iraqis simply because they look a certain way or have a specific sexual orientation.
