Authorities found the guard of the building where the 7-year-old Yuliana Samboní was killed. According to statements by the Bogotá police chief, Merchán took his own life, as the authorities found a note that he himself wrote next to the body.

Yuliana was playing at the door of her humble home when Uribe kidnapped her, according to police information, a boy from the neighborhood saw everything and notified the family immediately.

According to Caracol, the brother of the alleged murderer found "the tragedy" in the apartment and, since Uribe was in poor condition, he was taken to a psychiatric hospital to seek help.
Uribe, who was hospitalized for a cocaine overdose, is already in the hands of justice, who is determining what were the reasons that led him to commit the heinous crime.
