On the second day of his official visit to Singapore, Prince Harry quietly paid tribute to the victims of the deadly attack in London this weekend and participated in a Ramadan dinner, in a conciliatory gesture amid tensions over the attack.

The 32-year-old redhead, and fifth in line in the throne of England, kept a minute of silence before starting a polo game that he led in that Asian nation.

Before the event started, Queen Elizabeth II's grandson and all those present remained silent as a broadcaster announced the tribute as “a gesture of respect for all victims and those affected by the London terror attacks on Sunday by the night.

The prince-led party was part of the Sentebale Polo Cup and with it the son of the late Lady Di helped raise funds for children affected by the HIV virus in African countries.

The day before, Prince William's younger brother had visited a children's home where he participated in an iftar meal, which breaks the fast during the month of Ramadan.

Before dinner, the prince kept his head down as Muhammad Rafiuddin Ismail, secretary general of the children's home, spoke of the tragedy in London and called for prayer.

"Our thoughts go to the families of the victims of the London terror attacks [of] last night," Ismail said. "Pray that peace and harmony reign in communities around the world."

Prince Harry has documented his visit to Singapore on his popular official Twitter account, which has amassed nearly 900,000 followers. His journey will continue later in Australia, where he will promote the next edition of the Invictus Games, which he founded after serving in the British Army and involving wounded or disabled soldiers and which will take place in 2018.
