The murder of Felipe Romero, a 10-year-old Uruguayan boy at the hands of his coach Fernando Sierra caused a stir throughout Latin America. After the boy's mother, Alexandra Pérez, prohibited Sierra from seeing her son again, Sierra abducted and killed Felipe with a bullet and later took his own life.
It was Felipe's strange and authoritative behavior, which led his mother to ask the advice of a therapist, who told her that the boy must stay away from his coach.
The coach and the little boy, son of the famous soccer player Luis Romero, started their friendship in 2015 after they trained together in a sports car in Uruguay. The friendship became so deep that Sierra had even thought of adopting Felipe to take him to live with him.
According to Pérez, Felipe hooked up with his coach because he had an absent father. Footballer Romero, meanwhile, has said otherwise.
After almost a month of Felipe's death, his mother granted an interview to Ecos magazine. "There are things that don't close," she said. "And as a mother I need answers."
Despite the fact that the first autopsy results of her son's body showed that he had been sexually abused on different occasions in the past, Pérez demands that the authorities continue investigating the case. "We must continue investigating," said the woman, who clarifies that contrary to what is said, he was always on the lookout for his little son. "I want to get to know and understand the dark part of all this."
According to Pérez, the mother of the homicidal coach has not told the authorities the whole truth, since she also lived with Felipe a lot. The lady, assures Felipe's mother, also knew about the adoption plans that her son was planning to keep the little one. "That lady is also in the wrong head because I only found out from third parties that she once commented that they adored Felipe, and that she was going to live with them. ' Do you realize what head it fits in?”He said. “Felipe had his house, his room, his things, and a mother who loves him. Nothing was ever missing at home. Everything I have bought in the police cooperative is for them, clothes, shoes. At Christmas Felipe asked me for the Xbox and I bought it for him. He was not a street child. He was not a child that people could legally adopt."
