A high school in Wisconsin was evacuated Thursday because a student was dressed up as a Stormtrooper to mark Star Wars Day, celebrated worldwide on May 4. The young man wore the white suit of the soldiers of the Assault Troops that appear in the popular franchise created by George Lucas as a tribute to it.

Captain Jody Crocker of the Ashwaubenon Department of Public Safety in Wisconsin explained the misunderstanding to People. According to him, someone driving through the school reported seeing a masked man entering the premises with a large backpack and what appeared to be a bulletproof vest. In the end they realized that it was a student dressed as one of the soldiers from those movies.

As reported by the local channel WBAY, the Ashwaubenon School District, where the incident occurred, does not allow students to wear costumes to school. A message posted by the school district on its Facebook page says, "There was no intent to threaten but the student will be held to account."

Crocker added to People: "I don't think this was an intentional scare." Although the student did not want to form such a stir, the officer assures that the authorities "reacted appropriately" to the complaint.

The latest installment in the series, the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, features Mexican actor Diego Luna in its cast. Over the years, Star Wars continues to be renewed and conquered new followers who will surely miss their legendary Princess Leia in the next installments of the saga that was played by the late Carrie Fisher. May the force be with you!
