What was supposed to be a candid and emotional interview by Michelle Obama for the Today (NBC) show about what her last days at the White House were, has sparked racist comments against her two daughters, Malia and Sasha.
In the conversation, the wife of former President Barack Obama wanted to show that her daughters are so normal that on their last night at the presidential mansion they simply invited friends over to sleep in the White House and had a pizza party.
This was not well received by his enemies, who quickly reacted with racist phrases through the MSN portal forum, where the interview was replayed.
Among the most repeated cruel comments is that the young women did not have pizza, but fried chicken and watermelon, a racist observation used in the United States linked to a stereotype about African-Americans. Others said that the girls must have been listening to rap or painting graffiti at the White House.
Noo those who have been angry with Malia and Sasha were missing, ensuring that they are adopted.
Netizens also emerged and defended them and urged that they be respected, a claim similar to that voiced after President Donald Trump's youngest son Barron was teased.
“Whether you like or hate Obama or Trump, your children should not be part of this discussion in any negative way. Leave Sasha, Malia and Barron alone. They shouldn't be cannon fodder for gossip. Just wish everyone well,”said a New Jersey user identified as Marguerite Policastro Aisenstock.
