Veteran comedian Héctor Suárez, as has happened to other artists, has just revealed that since January he has been the victim of harassment by strangers, who have even threatened him.

According to what he said, it all goes back to a message that the 78-year-old Mexican posted on his social networks in January in which he asked the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, to "go away."

Since then, he said, he began to be the target of harassment and threats by unknown persons in different parts of Mexico City.

“I am really very worried because my family is in danger. Let them do it to me, but not to my family. I am especially terrified of my children,”Suarez told the magazine Proceso.

He assured that he was first followed by subjects aboard a van that blocked his path. Later that same vehicle followed him to a hotel where he was staying and, according to him, they made a sign to him like saying "put him down!"

The worst, he continued, occurred on April 7 when he was cornered by some guys in the bathroom of a shopping center in the state of Morelos, where the actor lives.

"I felt a pistol in the back of the neck and the assailant threatened me with tremendous profanity," he told the magazine. "I think he was not alone because he said: 'Take care that no one enters the bathroom.'"

The subject proceeded to raise his threats, which spread to the artist's family, who is the father of also comedian Héctor Suárez Gomíz.

“The guy, whom I did not see, asked me for the names of my children. 'Do they ring a bell? We're going to kill you son of your mother bitch!', And he warned me to stop talking about the government and the presidency.”
