Her case reached the Jalisco Government offices, where she resides. Miguel Castro, secretary of Development and Social Integration of said state, said that his entity issued the corresponding check and accompanied her in the bank procedure so that she could claim her pension.

For Castro, this case is “one more example of bureaucracy; not only from the banks, but also ours, from the authorities.” He indicated that at the moment there are 55 more people who have not been able to receive the aid after the regulation change, something that he considers "should not happen again."

The bank, for its part, reported that it has corrected the error and now its parameters are for "unlimited" age.

Unintentionally, the bank would have violated the same Mexican Constitution, which indicates that “all discrimination motivated by (…) age (…) or any other that violates human dignity and is intended to nullify or impair rights is prohibited. and liberties of the people”.
