Indianapolis police arrested a woman accused of hitting a Delta Airlines employee at the city's international airport on the head because, according to her, it was a divine order.

According to the Fox network subsidiary in that town, Shamanika Howard, 36, approached the counter of that airline to buy a ticket, but when the manager indicated that they were closed, she approached him and gave him a blow to the head behind the ear.

According to the police report, the shocked worker walked away from Howard and called authorities immediately. When they arrived and asked Howard why he had assaulted the employee, she replied: "Because God told me so."

After the attack, the airline employee complained of a headache and ear pain.

This is one more chapter of violence that the United States aviation industry has had to experience so far this year. Last week, everyone was shocked when Chicago security officers dragged a passenger off a United Airlines flight when he refused to give up his seat to a crew member.

But it was not all bad news at airports, because last week a Delta Airlines passenger also published on her social networks how she had managed to obtain $ 11,000 in free tickets by giving up her family's seats on different flights from that airline.
