United Airlines is once again in the eye of the hurricane. After the controversy of the case of Dr. David Dao - who was dragged from a flight, causing bleeding, a concussion and a broken nose - now a couple on their way to their wedding was expelled from another plane. Michael Hohl and his fiancé Amber Maxwell were planning to travel Saturday from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Costa Rica with a stopover in Houston, Texas.

According to him, they could not leave Texas because airline officials asked them to get off the plane. Maggie Schmerin, a United spokeswoman, said via statement that the couple "had tried multiple times" to sit in economy plus seats for which they had not paid. So they were asked to get off the ship.

Hohl told a different version of the events to KHOU. He said that he and his future wife had moved to those empty seats because in their row was a sleeping passenger who had scattered over their assigned seats, making the flight more uncomfortable. When asked to return to their seats, they did so without protest.

Even so, soon afterwards some officers went to escort them to get off the plane. According to Hohl, they followed the orders and when asked why they had been lowered, they were told that it caused a disruption.

United offered them a discounted rate at a hotel on Saturday night in Texas and put them on another flight Sunday morning. The couple's wedding is scheduled for Thursday in Costa Rica.
