Last Saturday, moments of horror were experienced in a renowned gym in the city of Coral Gables, Florida, when a man opened fire on some of the people who were in the establishment, leaving two people dead and an injury as a result of his attack..

According to information disclosed by the Miami Herald newspaper, the author of the shooting was a man identified as Abeku Wilson, who worked there as a personal trainer and was also an instructor for Chilean actor Cristián de la Fuente.

In the past, the soap opera star Sueño de amor had posted photographs in the past with the late Wilson, who accompanied him in exercise routines he performed at the renowned chain of gyms Equinox.

Apparently, the man's anger was unleashed after he was fired from the gym for alleged “workplace violence” and it is alleged that the intervention of security members was necessary to remove him from the scene. Wilson returned moments later with a firearm, ending the lives of two of his colleagues before committing suicide.

Marios Hortis, 42, and Janine Ackerman, 35, were the fatalities of the attack in the luxurious and busy Shops at Merrick Park.

After learning about the terrible tragedy, the chain of gyms regretted what happened through their social networks. "We send our condolences to the Janine and Marios families, and we thank the Equinox family for their support and kindness," reads one of their latest Twitter posts.
