Olivia Lettich, 11 years old and almost 100% blind since she was 4 months old, was able to see her first hockey game thanks to special glasses.
The young woman enjoyed the match that pitted her beloved Calgary Flames against the New York Islanders through her eSight lenses.
"I could see all the colors, all the shots, the names on the shirts, everyone and how fast they were moving," Olivia told The Washington Post. "It was incredible".
In addition, Lettich was able to watch his team warm up and then meet his favorite players in person.
Olivia was diagnosed with cancer when she was only 4 months old. After being treated with chemotherapy and radiation therapy, doctors had to remove her right eye to prevent the tumor from spreading, according to the American newspaper. Now her cancer is in remission and she sometimes uses her eSight to improve her vision.
