According to a South Korean spy agency, two North Korean ministries planned the death of Kim Jong Nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The agency added that the murder was allegedly ordered by Kim Jong Un himself and that his government hired two women who, among others, were part of the murder.

In a televised speech, South Korean lawmaker Kim Byung-kee said the North Korean Ministry of Homeland Security and the Foreign Ministry had planned the killing, CNN reported.

"The murder of Kim Jong Nam was a systematic act of terror ordered by Kim Jong Un," said the legislator.

Kim Jong Nam was attacked at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on February 13 with nerve agent VX, a chemical that killed him. Jong Nam was on a flight to Macao but died 20 minutes after the attack on the way to the hospital, according to Malaysian officials.

Two women, one from Vietnam and one from Indonesia, were caught on security video rubbing the toxic substance on Jong Nam's face. They and a third suspect have been detained and the case is still under investigation. The North Korean government, for its part, denies having participated in the murder and assures that the press in South Korea is publishing "false reports" about the case.
