You have to have the courage to show yourself to the world without makeup, or just be naturally beautiful like Iris Mittenaere.

The 24-year-old girl, who was crowned last Sunday as the most beautiful woman in the universe, published an image on her social networks in which she appears with her face uncovered.

A lover of extreme sports and a dentist by profession, the Frenchwoman appears lying down and dressed in sportswear.

The result? Proof that the new representative of Miss Universe 2016, is beautiful with and without makeup.

The 65th edition of the Miss Universe pageant was held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena auditorium in Pasady.

The first candidate to go to the 13 finalists was Miss Kenya, the queens that followed, represented, Indonesia, United States, Haiti, Thailand, France, Canada.

Among the three finalists were Miss Colombia, Miss France and Miss Haiti, France winning the crown.

"I do not think so, it was a great surprise," said Iris at the press conference after the beauty event.

"[I feel] very proud to bring this crown to Europe."
