The representative of South Africa, who was crowned last Sunday as the most beautiful woman in the universe, published an image on social networks in which she appears without a drop of makeup.
“My wish for every woman [is that] they have the courage to show themselves as they are. Your imperfections are what make you perfect. Do the world a favor and dare to show yourself in all your wonderful splendor,”Tunzi wrote at the bottom of the picture days before she was crowned Miss Universe 2019.
It is not the first time that the 26-year-old is exposed to life. In early October, Tunzi posted an image lying on her bed "recovering from a flu."
After an exciting final in which the representatives of Mexico, South Africa and Puerto Rico were the finalists, Zozibini Tunzi finally took the crown as the most beautiful woman in the universe.
In one of the last rounds of questions, all three proved to be on par with the crown.
While asking what was the most important thing that young girls should learn, the representative of Mexico, Sofía Aragón, spoke about them knowing that everything in the networks was a lie; while the representative of Puerto Rico, Madison Anderson, asked that they celebrate their originality, because they never knew who they were inspiring; In turn, the elegant and stylish representative of South Africa spoke of leadership and the importance of women's empowerment.
During a post-event press conference, Tunzi said, “Society has long been programmed not to view beauty in a black way. But now we are entering a time when finally women like me can finally know that they are beautiful.”
“For me, being crowned here today as Miss Universe with the hair and skin that I have is something really magical, and I hope it reaches every child that grows the way I grew up. It goes beyond beauty: it is about breaking boundaries and doing things that you have been told before that you could never do, she added.
