What seemed like a routine narcotics investigation at a dilapidated Detroit, Michigan home turned into a shocking discovery for authorities there.
According to reports from the local chain FOX 2, on Tuesday, policemen armed with a search warrant entered the house in question and inside found seven children who were without adult supervision and whose ages ranged from 9 months to 9 years. old.
The house had no working heating or baths, was covered in feces, and even had a dead dog in it.
The children were immediately taken to a local hospital and placed under the supervision of the Detroit children's services agency.
The 29-year-old father of the children was arrested and made available to authorities after two guns were also found in the home.
“I have seen a little boy. I don't know how old he is, like five or six [years],”said Diana Dupree, a neighbor of the place to the mentioned chain.
