After the terrifying news came out that Sara Packer, a Pennsylvania mother, was detained on charges linking her to the rape and murder of her 14-year-old daughter, new details about the chilling case indicate that the 41-year-old woman years worked in a family welfare agency.

As confirmed by People magazine, Packer would have worked for several years in a state agency as an official of the division of children, youth and families. Her responsibilities included supervising the adoption processes of minors.

"[She was a Northampton town employee between 2003 and 2010," Catherine Allen, the county's administrative director, told the publication.

Packer and her 44-year-old boyfriend Jacob Sullivan face multiple charges against her related to the death of her daughter Grace Packer, whom the woman took up for adoption when she was just a 3-year-old little girl.

The gruesome story of the teenager's murder still shocks the Bucks County, Pennsylvania community. According to preliminary information shared by the authorities in charge of the investigation, it has been determined that after Sullivan raped the girl under the gaze of her adoptive mother, the victimizers proceeded to poison and strangle her.

After ending the life of the teenager, the couple dismembered her body, throwing the parts in a local park, where they were discovered by hunters from the area.

"The hours and days before [July's] death were probably the most horrible and traumatic that anyone could experience," said Matthew Weintraub, Bucks County Prosecutor.
