In the opinion Daniel Brian Blackwell has a quick temper. Maryland police reported that the 55-year-old man gunned down his wife and daughter, allegedly angry that one of them had taken a bite out of his cheese sandwich.
According to People, police responded Sunday at 5 p.m. local time to a domestic violence call in the town of Dundalk, in Baltimore County. When officers arrived at the home, the man's wife and daughter came out to meet her and told them that Blackwell shot them because she was enraged that one of them had tried her cheese sandwich.
Fortunately, neither was injured. But the suspect responded to police arrival by barricading himself inside the home for approximately four hours, to finally turn himself in to authorities.
Blackwell was transferred to a local hospital for a psychological evaluation and has been charged with attempted first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault, in addition to several violations of firearm possession laws.
