Through Twitter, ISIS sent a statement in which the recent terrorist attack on a nightclub in Istanbul, perpetrated during the year-end celebration, is attributed. In this bloody event 39 people died and 69 were wounded.
According to CNN, the terrorist group said in its message that it carried this attack as a follow-up to the "sacred operations ISIS is carrying out against Turkey, a brave caliphate soldier attacked one of the popular nightclubs while Christians were celebrating their festivity".
The text goes on to say: "Turkey's apostate government should know that the blood of Muslims killed by Turkish aircraft and artillery will be set ablaze within its territory."
The news network clarified that it has not yet been able to confirm the authenticity of the statement, but that it has been retransmitted by several of the followers of said organization.
We recall that, on January 1, at 1:30 am local time, some seven hundred people were celebrating the beginning of the year in an exclusive nightclub on the banks of the Bosphorus River, when an individual broke into the premises and began shooting at them with an assault rifle.
The victims include a police officer and people of about fifteen different nationalities.
