Ximena Suárez, one of the six survivors of the accident of the Brazilian soccer team Chapecoense in the mountains of Colombia, shared an emotional video in which she thanks for having a second chance at life.
The clip, which was shared by CNN Spanish online site, shows a Ximena smiling and with an excellent face. According to the chain, the images were taken from the Rionegro hospital room, where he recovered after the incident.
"[I would like] first to thank God for this second chance at life that he has given me," begins the Bolivian flight attendant, who returned to her country last Sunday after almost three weeks of recovery in Colombia.
"[Also] thank you for your prayers, support, help at all times that you have given me. I wish you a very happy holiday season and a big hug to all of you and may God bless you”, he concludes in his short speech.
Before leaving for her home in the town of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the woman also expressed her gratitude to all those who helped her in her recovery in the coffee country. "I am leaving happy for my country, but the beautiful people of Colombia will always be in my heart."
Upon his return to Bolivia, Suárez lived another exciting moment when he was reunited with his family, including his son Tiago, who was only 6 years old. Ximena could not hold back her tears and merged with him in a hug that seemed eternal.
After the tragedy that killed 71 passengers on LaMia airline flight 2933, the focus is on the six survivors, who miraculously recover slowly, but satisfactorily.
